What is Pickleball?

A paddle sport created for all ages and skill levels. The rules are simple and the game is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a quick, fast-paced, competitive game for experienced players.

Pickleball is a paddleball sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton, and table tennis. Two or four players use solid paddles made of wood or composite materials to hit a perforated polymer ball, similar to a Wiffle Ball, over a net. The sport shares features of other racquet sports, the dimensions and layout of a badminton court, and a net and rules somewhat similar to tennis, with several modifications.

Cancellation/Refund Policy

The American Pickleball Tour Registration Cancellation Policy will allow full refunds up to 60 days before the tournament start date. After 60 days, APT has a strict no refund policy unless the registrant purchases the “Event Insurance” that will allow the registration funds to be refunded minus the cost of the insurance.

However, since the APT Tournament has many upfront costs, unless the event Insurance is purchased, APT will have a strict and uniform policy, after the 60 days, of no refunds or exchanges, no person-to-person transfer, or no deferrals to a future year. We do understand that plans change, injuries happen, and various festivities and situations arise, but, APT feels it is most fair to apply a uniform policy to all, instead of a subjective line of who should receive a refund and who doesn’t. After 60 days prior to the event, all purchases and sales are 100% final, no exceptions. We appreciate your understanding in this matter.
